Several federal agencies have established health standards or recommendations to limit human exposure to ozone.

 Ozone Dosage
The treatment length and dosage depend on several factors that can be determined in the initial diagnostic. Some of these factors are the area volume, desired level of disinfection, time available to do the treatment, level of biological variants contained in the area, the type of pathogens that need to be treated, etc.
Ozone Risks and Precautions
Ozone in the stratosphere is beneficial to earth’s life because it protects from the sun ultraviolet radiation, but in the lower level, in the troposphere and according to the WHO (World Health Organization), it can be harmful for the human health in concentrations above 0.5 ppm in periods superior to 8 hours a day. The danger it poses to people, animals and plants is due to the reacting property of ozone with cells molecules.
Several federal agencies have established health standards or recommendations to limit human exposure to ozone. These exposure limits are summarized in the following table obtained from epa.gov.

Ozone treatments can be conducted taking the appropriate precautions and following instructions on how to safely operate an ozone generating device. Ozone treatments are intended for unoccupied areas.
